Microsoft Edge has changed for the better, as it’s now considered the fastest and the most reliable browser on the market. It’s also secure and ensures your online privacy and security are protected. One of the main updates of Microsoft edge is its ability to open favourite links in new tabs, thus keeping your current tab intact.
Microsoft Edge version 110 onwards can be configured to open favourite links in new tabs. Go through this page to learn how to open links you’ve saved as a favourite in Microsoft Edge’s new tab.
Opening favourites in New Tabs
- Launch Microsoft Edge
- Press the Alt + F key or the three-dotted menu on the top right corner of Microsoft Edge
- Scroll down to the settings option and click Appearance
- Turn on the toggle switch beside Always open favourites in the new tab under Customize toolbar
Turning on this switch will ensure that every time you open favourite links on your Microsoft Edge, it will open from a new tab. In case this option isn’t available on your browser, chances are high that you are using an outdated version of Microsoft Edge; then the best you can do is to update the browser to the latest version (110+)
