On the other hand, Microsoft hasn’t openly pointed out these new issues affecting their OS. The commonly reported issue is failed installation when downloading KB5021234 and KB5021255 updates.
In such cases, there is no better information displayed that can help users find a possible fix. However, this isn’t a big deal because users often report it, even with previous updates. Whenever an update is attempted, it returns an error code 0x800f081f. In such a scenario, the installation will be initiated but fail along the way leaving the users disappointed. However, your OS will revert to the previous build after a failed uninstallation attempt.
KB5021255 And KB5021234 Issues
Windows 11 22H2 users report the most issues with KB5021255 and KB5021234; 21H2 users report the same reports. According to Windows 11 22H2, user KB5021255 returns a 0x800f081f after a failed installation. This is observed even when the update is carried out using standalone installer or Windows update.
